Our amazingly beautiful new girl Gabbana d' Arioska has arrived from Switzerland today! She walked in here like she has lived here forever, starting playing right away and was very occupied with snuggling and getting attention. She is a gorgeous silver shaded girl with amazing green eyes. We thank her breeder Barbara Bourkenov for trusting us with this lovely young lady, and my friends Lillian and Gary Narramore for bringing her home from Zurich for me!

This is our new girl Knyazhna Sibirskoye Knyazhestvo, who arrived this weekend from Russia. She is a beautiful silver mackerel girl, and we are the first in the USA to have a kitten from this cattery. We are very thankful to her breeders Sergey and Olga for trusting us with this wonderful young lady!

Mystic melody Igor Stravinsky is a beautiful brown mackerel tabby siberian boy, that comes from one of our early litters when we just started out. His owner Angela is showing him in the alter class. Igor already is a Supreme Grand Champion and Regional Winner, but is trying to finish out the show season in the top 10 alters , and currently he is #9. Go Igor!

Blackberry is only 9 months old and managed to earn his Supreme Grand Championship in TICA in only 3 shows! I even believe he might be the first solid black TICA Supreme Grand Champion ever!

DeClaire Florentynka, a beautiful 8 month old brown spotted torbie girl. She just arrived 2 days ago, and is settling in nicely into our home.

Kittens are impossible to take pictures of. They have zero attention span and constantly run all over the place and you can't get them to sit still and focus for a split second. For a person obsessed with good kitten pictures, this is a challenge. Having 2 litters that are both the same age, challenged me to get a picture with all 12 of them, all looking my way. Sharp or not, that doesn't matter, I just want the picture. After days of trying whipping toys around, i finally got the picture I wanted. Low and behold, all 12 of them, and all of them looking at the camera:)

Ever since Tsar was neutered, I have always thought he recognized his own offspring. The rest of the family wrote it off as nonsense and coincidental that he grouped together with his daughters only. This morning, he was laying on the couch with 3 of his daughters: Gigi, Nikita and Toyka. When Jellybean and Skittles wanted to join, he chased them off the couch. When his former girlfriend and mother of two of his daughters wanted to join the snuggle session, she got growled at and chased away as well. So here is Tsar, herding his family together for a late morning nap. In his head there must be a tune playing..."We are family, I got all my daughters with me!"

It is beautiful weather, and when the sun is out and it's not too warm, there is no cat or kitten to be found in the house, they are all outside enjoying the colder weather and the sun. It always makes for fun pictures:)

It's a rainy day in Atlanta, and the cats can not go outside into the run to romp around and play. That means they have to find other entertainment, which means something different for everyone:)

Gigi, Olan, Nikita and Toyka don't care if it rains, as long as there's food to eat!

Sofya and Olan are playing in some empty boxes, which seems quite entertaining to my cats:)

This time of year when it's colder but sunny weather, I barely see my cats inside. I have a large outdoor run where the cats can play, run, jump, or sunbathe as much as they want to. The have free access to it so they can go in and out as they please. I barely know I have cats anymore, cause they all decide to be outside as much as they can:)

We welcomed 2 new litters that were both born this week. We have an array of colors with these babies, blue mackerel tabby with white, blue classic tabby with white, solid black, black and white bi color, brown classic tabby and brown classic tabby and white. All babies are big, strong and healthy. Can't wait to see this little McSquirmies grow up!

On Sunday we welcomed a new addition to the Mystic Melody family. His name is Olan and he is a gorgeous 5 month old brown mackerel tabby boy that came to us from Poland. He is making himself at home and seems very busy exploring the house and making new friends. Stay tuned for more updates!

Super nice weather outside! You can tell the fall is starting. About 80 degrees and a breeze, a perfect day to let the cats enjoy some sunbathing and playing in our outdoor run.

Blackberry loves it outside, he tries to catch butterflies but so far, no success:)

Kahlua is outside for the first time and loving every minute of it! She just keeps racing around and climbing on everything, while the others just calmly sit and soak up the sun.

Our precious Gigi, beautiful daughter of Tsar and Pandora. She loves to just relax and soak up the sun and the cool breeze. She can get quite irritated with bugs flying in the run that she can't catch:)

Our pregnant Alley, who is expecting kittens at the beginning of November, has a tendency to roll around in the orange clay and look like an "Alleycat":)

Blackberry is now 6 months old, and when you see him it's hard to believe he is actually still a kitten. He weighs well over 10 lbs and is as big as any other of my adult cats. He is an awesome boy, not to mention extremely sweet and affectionate.

We've had a very ugly chair in our garage for a very long time. I was ready to toss it out yesterday during garage clean up, but somehow my husband thought I wanted this ugly thing in the house. I was less then thrilled when I saw this thing in my living room, but the cats occupied it right away, like it was the best chair in the world. Needless to say it will stay for a while, but it remains ugly, and I just want to have noted i did not volunteer to have this thing as part of my furniture. I'm just sayin"...

The infamous cat tree

People often ask me where I got that cool cat tree that they see on my pictures. This was a lucky find on craigslist from a family that was moving and didn't want to take this heavy duty thing with them. This is normally a $500 tree and I got it for only $75. My cats love it, and it's a favorite spot in my house to take pictures because the light is so good at that spot. Blackberry, Sofya and Kahlua had a good time playing on the tree today and that made for some pretty pictures:)

Sofya is 6 months old, and is most definitely in her awkward, long, dangly stage. the exact same stage her father Tsar went through when he was that age. Tsar turned out to be a stunning cat, and if you take a good look at Sofya, you can see she has her father's genes and without question is going to be just as stunning as he is when she grows up.

Today we received a phone call that our Alley's date with her boyfriend Timberbend Abrikoska (Beau) has been successful. Beau is a beautiful red mackerel tabby and white boy with exceptional head type that we hope he will give to his kittens. This combination may give us red boys and torbie girls which is something we have been waiting for for a long time. Very exciting! Alley is coming home next weekend when I go pick her up in Indianapolis, and she is due at the end of october.

Kahlua is settling into our home and family just fine. She is super affectionate and will not leave you alone for a split second. We have to be careful not to step on her as she makes a habit out of swirling around your legs al day long. She eats like there's no tomorrow and she loves, loves her people! Larisa's babies are 7 weeks old and are now out in the hallway and are discovering that stairs can be used as a racetrack and that there are big cats on the other side of the door. They now play and roll all over the place, but still sleep about 20 hours a day. The bad thing is that playtime is usually when the humans in the house are sleeping...:)

Meet Nikita (Kiki) and Victorya (Toyka), 6 weeks old siblings from our Tsar x Larisa litter. Both girls will be staying with us for now for evaluation. Nikita looks a lot like her mom, as where Toyka is clearly a carbon copy of her father.

Today we welcomed a new girl into our family, Windrifter Kahlua of Mystic Melody. She is a gorgeous brown mackerel tabby girl, 13 weeks old and comes from some of the oldest Starpoint lines imported into the USA by Elizabeth Terrell in 1994. Kahlua's father (Windrifter Zhenka) is the oldest breeding male in the USA, 15 years old! Thank you to Judy Miller from Windrifter siberians for this beautiful little girl. We can't wait to see how she will grow up and what she will add to our breeding program. Meet Kiki, a beautiful tortie siberian girl, only 5 months old. Kiki went to a wonderful home in Boston, MA but unfortunately, she seemed to trigger asthma in their daughter. We are looking for a new home for Kiki, and are hoping to find one in the Boston area or at least within reasonable driving distance. Kiki's family is heart broken that they have to give her up, but their daughter's health comes first. Kiki is very sociable, sweet and playful, and would make a wonderful pet for any family. She seems to get along great with kids but due to the problems with their daughter, we are looking for a home without allergy sufferers. Mystic Melody will soon be welcoming 2 new family members. The first one is Windrifter Kahlua, bred by Judy Miller of Windrifter siberians. She is a gorgeous brown mackerel tabby girl that is adding new lines to our breeding program. We are excited we will be picking her up from the airport tomorrow!

The other one is Shadowlawn Jellybean, a grandson of our own Gandalf. Bred by my dear friend Lillian Narramore from Shadowlawn Siberians. Jellybean is a beautiful brown mackerel torbie that will add some color to our breeding program as she can produce red boys and torbie girls. Jellybean will be joining our family in a few weeks when she is old enough.

Blackberry is 5 months old and growing like a weed. he is a fabulous show cat, loves the attention he gets in the ring and loves on the judges. It is hard to show a black cat, and it's even harder to photograph one. Last weekend at the TICA Annual in Philadelphia, the wonderful Helmi and Ken Flick took Blackberry's pictures and they turned out great. Below are a few examples and we are so pleased that they managed to truly capture Blackberry's personality!
